There is no general minimum age stated for ordinary browsing of educational content.

However, users must have the legal capacity required under applicable law before entering into any legally binding transaction, agreement, or commitment through the Website.

Where a person is not legally capable of entering into an enforceable agreement, use of features that involve legal consent should occur with the involvement or supervision of an appropriate parent, guardian, or other legally authorised person where required.

We do not knowingly request unnecessary personal information from minors.

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

Where a particular service, submission process, form, or feature includes additional terms or instructions, those terms may apply alongside these Terms.

We will maintain the current version on the Website with the applicable Effective Date and Last Updated date.

6. Educational and Informational Purpose

The Law School Hub exists primarily to provide:

  • Legal education
  • Academic information
  • General legal awareness
  • Research-oriented content
  • Case summaries
  • Legal explainers
  • Legal developments and updates
  • Study resources
  • Judiciary and law entrance educational material
  • Practical legal information

Our content is written to make complex legal ideas easier to understand.

However, legal rules can depend on the facts of a particular matter, the applicable jurisdiction, the date on which the issue arises, procedural circumstances, and subsequent judicial or legislative developments.

Accordingly, Website content should be read as general educational and informational material, unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. No Legal Advice or Professional Relationship

7.1 General Rule

Nothing published on the Website should automatically be treated as:

  • Legal advice
  • A legal opinion
  • Professional legal consultation
  • Legal representation
  • An advocate-client relationship
  • A solicitor-client relationship
  • A fiduciary relationship
  • A professional mandate

Reading an article, case summary, or other material does not create an advocate-client or professional relationship between you and The Law School Hub or any contributor merely because you accessed the content.

7.2 No Reliance for Personal Legal Decisions

You should not rely exclusively on Website content when making a decision involving:

  • Litigation
  • Criminal proceedings
  • Property transactions
  • Marriage or divorce
  • Employment disputes
  • Tax matters
  • Investments
  • Contracts
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Business decisions
  • Financial matters
  • Any other matter with significant legal or financial consequences

Where you have a specific legal problem, obtain advice from a qualified legal professional who can review the facts and applicable law.

7.3 Contacting Us

Sending a message through our Contact Form, email address, or other communication channel does not, by itself, create a professional legal relationship or guarantee that The Law School Hub will provide individual legal advice.

8. Accuracy and Currency of Legal Information

We make reasonable efforts to publish content that is clear, accurate, and supported by reliable sources.

However:

  • Laws can change.
  • Regulations can be amended.
  • Judicial decisions can be reviewed, distinguished, modified, or overruled.
  • Government notifications can change the applicable legal position.
  • Different courts may interpret the same issue differently.
  • A case summary may simplify a lengthy judgment.
  • Older articles may not reflect later developments.
  • External links may become outdated or unavailable.

Therefore, we do not guarantee that every piece of content will always be complete, current, error-free, or suitable for every factual situation.

Where important, readers should verify the legal position through authoritative sources such as the relevant court, legislation, Gazette notification, government or regulatory authority, or other reliable legal source.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise stated, the original materials created and published by The Law School Hub are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

The Website’s intellectual property may include:

  • Website text
  • Original legal articles
  • Original case-summary presentations
  • Educational resources
  • Original graphics
  • Original illustrations
  • Logos
  • Branding
  • Layout and design
  • Page structure
  • Original compilations
  • Original downloadable materials
  • Other proprietary content

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of The Law School Hub’s intellectual property to a User.

9.1 Permitted Use

You may, subject to applicable law:

  • Access the Website for personal, educational, research, or other lawful purposes.
  • Read and refer to published content.
  • Share links to public Website pages.
  • Quote limited portions where legally permitted and properly attributed.

9.2 Restricted Use

Unless you have permission from the relevant rights holder or applicable law otherwise permits the use, you must not:

  • Republish substantial portions of Website content.
  • Present our content as your own.
  • Sell or commercially distribute our original content.
  • Reproduce substantial portions on another website.
  • Systematically copy or archive the Website for commercial exploitation.
  • Modify and redistribute substantial Website content.
  • Remove applicable copyright, attribution, or proprietary notices.
  • Use our branding in a way that suggests an unauthorised association.
  • Use automated tools to systematically extract substantial Website content without permission.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including applicable statutory exceptions or fair-dealing rights under Indian law.

The Copyright Act, 1957 remains an important part of the legal framework governing copyright protection in India.

10. Third-Party and Public-Law Materials

Some Website content may discuss or refer to materials that are not owned by The Law School Hub, including:

  • Court judgments
  • Statutes
  • Constitutional provisions
  • Government notifications
  • Gazette publications
  • Regulatory materials
  • Public records
  • Third-party databases
  • Academic materials
  • Other publicly available legal sources

Rights in third-party material remain with the applicable rights holder unless the law provides otherwise.

The Law School Hub does not claim ownership merely because a third-party legal text, judgment, public document, or other source is discussed, linked, summarised, or referenced on the Website.

11. User Content and Submissions

The Website may provide avenues through which users can communicate with us or submit material, including:

  • Contact Form submissions
  • Feedback
  • Suggestions
  • Correction requests
  • Collaboration proposals
  • Contributor submissions
  • Articles
  • Case summaries
  • Manuscripts
  • Supporting documents
  • Other voluntarily submitted material

You remain responsible for material that you submit.

By submitting material, you confirm that, to the best of your knowledge:

  1. The information you provide is accurate.
  2. You have the right to submit the material.
  3. Your submission does not knowingly infringe another person’s rights.
  4. Your submission does not knowingly contain unlawful, malicious, fraudulent, defamatory, or misleading material.
  5. Your submission does not improperly disclose confidential or private information.

You should not submit sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for the purpose of your enquiry or submission.

12. Contributor Submissions

The Law School Hub maintains a separate Contributor Submission process for articles, case summaries, case comments, research articles, legal explainers, and other approved contributions.

Contributor submissions are governed by these Terms together with the applicable Contributor Guidelines, submission instructions, and any specific agreement or licence applicable to the submission.

12.1 Submission Does Not Guarantee Publication

Submitting an article, manuscript, case summary, or other contribution does not guarantee:

  • Acceptance
  • Publication
  • A particular publication date
  • Editorial approval
  • Continued publication

The Law School Hub may:

  • Accept a submission
  • Request revisions
  • Edit for editorial or formatting purposes
  • Request further verification
  • Defer publication
  • Decline publication
  • Remove or update published content where reasonably necessary

12.2 Contributor Responsibility

Contributors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original, properly researched, legally accurate, and appropriately sourced.

Contributors must not submit material that:

  • Misstates material legal provisions.
  • Improperly discloses confidential information.
  • Defames another person unlawfully.
  • Infringes privacy or other legal rights.

The detailed standards for contributor submissions are set out in the Contributor’s Guidelines.

13. Licence for Submitted Contributor Content

Unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise, a contributor who submits material for possible publication grants The Law School Hub a non-exclusive licence, to the extent necessary for operating and promoting the publication, to:

  • Review the submission.
  • Edit or format the submission.
  • Reproduce the submission.
  • Publish the submission on the Website.
  • Archive the submission.
  • Display the submission through Website pages.
  • Promote the published contribution through the Website’s official social-media or other promotional channels.

This licence does not automatically transfer ownership of copyright in the underlying original work from the contributor to The Law School Hub.

The specific publication and licensing terms applicable to a contribution should also be read with the Contributor Guidelines and any additional terms communicated during submission.

14. Contact Form and General Enquiries

The Website may provide a general Contact Form for purposes such as:

  • General enquiries
  • Topic suggestions
  • Content corrections
  • Legal-update suggestions
  • Case or judgment suggestions

A Contact Form submission does not guarantee a response, legal advice, publication, collaboration, or any other outcome.

Includes activity that knowingly infringes:

  • Copyright
  • Trademark rights

15.6 Commercially Exploits Website Content

You must not commercially exploit substantial Website content without the necessary permission or lawful basis.

Where the Website later introduces account-based functionality, additional account terms may apply.

Users must not attempt to obtain unauthorised access to another person’s account, credentials, or restricted Website functionality.

17. Website Availability and Changes

We may, where reasonably necessary:

  • Update the Website.
  • Modify the design.

  • Correct errors.
  • Reorganise categories.
  • Update old articles.
  • Remove outdated material.
  • Temporarily suspend parts of the Website.
  • Discontinue features.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Website.

Temporary unavailability may occur because of:

  • Maintenance

  • Third-party service interruptions
  • Events outside our reasonable control

18. Third-Party Websites and External Links

Our Website may link to external websites, including:

  • Courts
  • Government departments
  • Official regulators
  • Legal databases
  • Academic resources
  • Social-media platforms
  • Educational websites
  • Other third-party services

These links may be provided to help readers locate authoritative or useful material.

However, The Law School Hub does not control third-party websites and does not automatically endorse every statement, product, service, policy, or practice found on them.

You access third-party websites at your own discretion.

Third-party websites may have their own:

  • Terms
  • Privacy policies
  • Copyright rules
  • Security practices

You should review those terms before using such services.

19. Third-Party Services, Advertising and Affiliate Relationships

The Website may, where applicable, use third-party services for functions such as:

  • Website hosting
  • Forms
  • Analytics
  • Security
  • Email
  • Search
  • Advertising
  • Social-media integration
  • Other technical services

Where advertising, sponsorship, affiliate relationships, or other third-party commercial arrangements are used, the relevant relationship may be disclosed where appropriate.

We will not state that a particular service is used merely because it is technically possible to use it.

Our Privacy Policy provides further information about relevant third-party data practices.

20. Privacy

Your use of the Website may involve the processing of personal information.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, secure, and otherwise process personal information and how relevant privacy rights may be exercised.

The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy should be read together.

The applicable Indian data-protection framework includes the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, subject to their applicable commencement and requirements. MeitY notified the Rules in November 2025 and prescribed a phased commencement schedule.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to replace or limit the rights and obligations that arise under applicable privacy law.

21. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  1. Website content is provided for general educational and informational purposes.
  2. We do not promise that every article will remain current after publication.
  3. We do not guarantee that all external links will remain available.
  4. We do not guarantee that the Website will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
  5. We do not guarantee any particular academic, examination, professional, career, legal, or financial outcome from use of the Website.
  6. We do not guarantee that a legal explanation will apply to every factual situation.
  7. We do not guarantee the completeness of third-party material.
  8. We do not guarantee the outcome of any matter in which a user relies upon general educational content.

These disclaimers do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

22. Examination, Academic and Career Content

The Law School Hub may publish material intended to assist:

  • Law students
  • CLAT and AILET aspirants
  • Judiciary aspirants
  • Researchers
  • Other learners

Such content is educational in nature.

We do not guarantee:

  • Examination results
  • Admission
  • Rank
  • Selection
  • Employment
  • Internship
  • Career progression
  • Academic performance

Users remain responsible for verifying official examination notices, eligibility requirements, syllabi, schedules, rules, and institutional requirements.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Law School Hub and persons involved in operating the Website will not be responsible for losses arising solely from a user’s reliance on general educational material where the law does not impose such liability.

This may include, to the extent legally permissible:

  • Indirect loss
  • Consequential loss
  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of business opportunity
  • Loss resulting from temporary Website unavailability
  • Loss resulting from reliance on third-party material
  • Loss arising from a user’s interpretation of educational content
  • Loss caused by third-party websites or services

However, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under Indian law.

We have deliberately not inserted an arbitrary monetary liability cap because there is insufficient information to justify a fixed figure.

24. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, costs, and reasonable expenses arising directly from your:

  • Material breach of these Terms.
  • Unlawful use of the Website.
  • Infringement of another person’s rights.
  • Knowingly unlawful or infringing User Content.
  • Fraudulent or abusive use of Website features.
  • Material misuse of the Website.

This clause is not intended to make you responsible for matters caused solely by The Law School Hub’s own unlawful conduct.

25. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict or suspend access to Website functionality where reasonably necessary to:

  • Protect the Website.
  • Protect users.
  • Address security concerns.
  • Prevent abuse.
  • Investigate unlawful activity.
  • Comply with legal requirements.
  • Enforce these Terms.

Where User Content has been submitted, we may remove or decline to publish it where reasonably necessary under our editorial or legal standards.

Where particular provisions are intended to survive termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, dispute, and governing-law provisions, those provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

26. Copyright, Trademark and Content Takedown Complaints

If you believe that material appearing on the Website:

  • Infringes your copyright,
  • Infringes your trademark,
  • Violates your privacy,
  • Is unlawfully reproduced,
  • Is defamatory,
  • Contains otherwise unlawful material,

you may contact us at:

thelawschoolhub@gmail.com

Please provide, where applicable:

  1. Your name and contact information.
  2. A clear description of the complaint.
  3. The URL or identification of the disputed material.
  4. An explanation of the right or interest affected.
  5. Supporting documentation where reasonably available.
  6. Any relevant information needed to evaluate the complaint.

We may request additional information before taking action.

Nothing in this section creates or is intended to create a statutory grievance mechanism where none is legally applicable.

27. Feedback and Suggestions

We welcome constructive feedback, ideas, and suggestions concerning:

  • Website design
  • Legal topics
  • Case summaries
  • Educational resources
  • User experience
  • Contributor processes
  • Accessibility
  • Content quality

If you voluntarily submit an idea or suggestion, you agree that The Law School Hub may consider and use the idea for improving its Website, content, or operations, without creating an obligation to compensate you merely because an independently developed idea resembles your suggestion.

This does not transfer ownership of a separate copyright-protected work merely because an idea was submitted.

28. Editorial Rights

The Law School Hub reserves reasonable editorial control over material that it publishes.

This may include the ability to:

  • Edit for grammar and clarity.
  • Correct factual or formatting errors.
  • Update headings.
  • Improve readability.
  • Add relevant internal links.
  • Update legal references.
  • Request revisions.
  • Remove outdated material.
  • Add editorial notes where appropriate.

Substantive changes to a contributor’s legal analysis should be handled consistently with the applicable Contributor Guidelines and any separate agreement governing the contribution.

29. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time.

When we update them, we will publish the revised version on the Website and update the Effective Date and Last Updated fields.

Material changes may be highlighted or communicated through appropriate means where reasonably necessary.

Your continued use of the Website after an updated version becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

30. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable mandatory legal provisions.

Nothing in this clause prevents a person from exercising a right that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded under applicable law.

31. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

If a dispute arises concerning these Terms, the parties should, where reasonably practical, first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith communication.

You may contact:

thelawschoolhub@gmail.com

We may consider negotiation or mediation where appropriate.

Any judicial proceedings will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts that are legally competent under applicable Indian law.

No particular city or court is designated by these Terms where there is insufficient information to establish a legitimate jurisdictional basis.

32. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permissible.

The remaining provisions will continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.

33. Waiver

A failure or delay by The Law School Hub in exercising any right under these Terms does not automatically amount to a waiver of that right.

A waiver in one instance does not necessarily constitute a waiver in another instance.

34. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly applicable to a particular Website feature, constitute the principal terms governing your use of the Website.

Where a specific service or feature has separate terms that expressly apply to that feature, those terms will operate together with these Terms to the extent of any applicable difference.

35. Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms where doing so would violate applicable law or create obligations for The Law School Hub without its consent.

The Law School Hub may reorganise, restructure, transfer, or assign Website-related rights or operations as permitted by law and subject to applicable obligations.

36. Force Majeure

The Law School Hub will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, to the extent permitted by law.

Such events may include, for example:

  • Natural disasters
  • Major infrastructure failures
  • Internet or telecommunications disruptions
  • Cybersecurity incidents
  • Government action
  • Civil unrest
  • War
  • Widespread service outages
  • Other events beyond reasonable control

This clause does not eliminate obligations that cannot legally be avoided.
